Lois F. Stewart, 93, of Nokomis, passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, at 1:55 a.m. at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.
Funeral services are pending. The family is being served by Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis.
Mrs. Stewart was born Jan. 1, 1928, in Jefferson, IA, to Hollie and Lula F. (Tuhn) Chambers. On April 5, 1951, she married James E. Stewart in Nokomis. He passed away Dec. 9, 1984.
A farm wife and high school grad, Mrs. Stewart was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church of Nokomis and a member of the Foresters.
She is survived by her children, Sister Mary Catherine Stewart O.P. of Brookfield, MO, twin sons David (Janet) Stewart and Dennis (Pam) Stewart of Nokomis, and Lois Ann (Guy) Moroff of Springfield; six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and brother Wilbur (Corky) Chambers of Orange CA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings Charles Chambers, Mary Ellen Milavec, Evelyn Oller and Rita Mae Smith.
Memorials are suggested to St. Louis Catholic Church of Nokomis or St. Louis School.
