Louis “Louie” Oliver Cesaretti, 97, of Nokomis, died Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at 7:45 a.m. at Carlinville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Carlinville.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, from 2 to 3:45 p.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Funeral service will follow at 4 p..m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis with Pastor Bert Eickhoff officiating. Burial wil be held in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Nokomis.

Mr. Cesarett was born Feb. 11, 1922, in Kincaid, a son of Carlo and Erma (Burchi) Cesaretti.He married Eula Jean Hagemeier on July 5, 1947, in Nokomis, and she precfeded him in death on Aug. 11, 2000.

He graduated from high school and retired as a tool and die maker at Caterpillar in Decatur.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy.He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Legion, both in Nokomis.

He is survived by his children, Jerilyn Broaddus of Carlinville, Michael (Judy) Cesaretti of Muskegan, MI; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sister, Rose Langen and brother, Pete Cesaretti.
