Louise Rudis, 86, of Hillsboro, died on Friday, March 13, 2020, at her residence.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 28, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro. A Celebration of Life will follow, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Fourth of July Point pavilion on Hillsboro Lake.
Mrs. Rudis was born June 18, 1933, in Collinsville, to Arthur and Stella (Frye) Smith. She married Roland Rudis on Oct. 20, 1951, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 2016.
She graduated from Collinsville High School and worked in the insurance field for many years at Tosetti and Associates and Bruce Webb Insurance.
A member of the Catholic faith, Mrs. Rudis loved spending time with her family, listening to music, doing crafts, knitting and donating various items to help others.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Steve) Romeo, Roland Mark Rudis and Arthur Rudis, all of Hillsboro, Rebecca Rudis of Dupo and Kelly Robinson of Taylor Springs; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Rudis was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Denise Clark; and three brothers, Laverne, Arthur and William Smith.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
