Marcella Eilert, 95, died at 6:02 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Litchfield Health and Rehab Center.

There will be two visitations which will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive, on Wednesday, July 19, from 5-8 p.m. and on Thursday, July 20, from 10 a.m. until the start of the service at 11 a.m. Pastor Ritter will officiate. Burial will take place in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Mt. Olive,. Lunch will be provided immediately after at the Immanuel Lutheran Educational Building. Becker and Son Funeral Home in Mt. Olive is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Eilert was born on July 17, 1927, in St. Louis, MO, to Henry Wriede and Wilma Blase Wriede. She attended Staunton High School and graduated in 1945. She married William Henry Eilert on June 8, 1947, at the Evangelical Church in Staunton, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1988. Mrs. Eilert and her late husband owned and operated the Walshville Grain Elevator which she enjoyed very much. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive.

She had a large family that adored her. She had a smile that could light up the room and gave the best hugs. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and never turned down sweets. She loved her sleepovers with her three granddaughters, playing games, eating, and laughing till they cried. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Mrs. Eilert is survived by her two sons, Ray Eilert and David (Mary) Eilert; three granddaughters, Lisa (Jeff) Scanzoni, Lachelle (Ivan) Booth, and LeAnn (James) Aloisi; ten great-grandchildren, Chelsea Milton, Kaitlyne Pollard, Stefanie Scanzoni, Lilly Booth, Abby Scanzoni, Samuel Booth, Ethan Booth, Andrew Booth, Ella Booth, Mason Aloisi; and six great-great-grandchildren: Jacob, Taya, Ava, Myles, Nora, and Hayes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Harold Wriede.
