Margaret A. Frensko, 96, of Benld, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, at 2:40 p.m. at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 8, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Benld. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Father Michael Haag officiating. Burial will be held in Benld Cemetery. Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Frensko was born March 11, 1924, in Gillespie, to Joseph and Maria (Guriel) Polo. She married Lester Gregory, and then later married Peter Frensko.
She was a seamstress in Benld and at Litchfield Dress Factory from 1950 to 1982. She then had her own business until she retired in 2019. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Altar Society and St. Joseph’s Caretaker for eight years.
Mrs. Frensko is survived by three grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and two spouses, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Gregory; stepson, Larry Frensko; brother, Joseph Polo; and sisters, Bridget Panis, Christina Wheeler, Mary Valko, Susanna Perrottet, Sophia Minton and Josephine Hammann.
