Marie Antoinette Myers, 98, of Greenville, died at 8:35 a.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Greenville. Visitation will be one hour prior from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Father Jeffery Stone, pastor of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Greenville, will officiate. Burial will be at Mulberry Grove Cemetery in Mulberry Grove. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home of Hillsboro is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Myers was born on Dec. 20, 1924 in Ashley, PA, to John and Anna (Mevzinski) Tomczak. She married Byron Myers on July 1, 1944, in Baltimore, MD, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2008. Together they moved to Mulberry Grove in 1945, and stayed until they moved to Greenville in 2006. During her life Mrs. Myers worked as a cook in the cafeteria at Mulberry Grove High School. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Greenville.

Mrs. Myers is survived by her sons, Roger (wife, Gale) Myers of Hillsboro and Ronald Myers of Albertville, AL; four grandchildren, Jason Myers, Mandy (husband, Ashley) Whittington, Jamie (husband, Matt) Carroll and Melody (husband, David) Riggs; six great-grandchildren, Shaw Riggs, Deklan Riggs, Garner Myers, Landon Carroll, Remy Whittington and Bentley Whittington; and one sister, Betty Ganis of Myrtle Beach, SC.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Myers; eight brothers; and four sisters.
