Marie Ellen Stewart-Mueller, 53, of Hillsboro, died on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, at 11:50 a.m. at her residence.
Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. James Bailie, pastor of Schram City Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will take place in Wares Grove Cemetery in rural Butler.
Mrs. Mueller was born Jan. 25, 1965, in Hillsboro, to Vester and Ellen Maxine (Mutchler) Stewart, Sr. She married Paul Mueller on Sept. 9, 2011, in Hillsboro, and he survives.
She attended Hillsboro High School, and served in the laundry department at a local nursing home.
A resident of Hillsboro during most of her life, Mrs. Mueller loved to work in her yard and rock garden, and collected wind chimes and teddy bears.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Anthony L. Stewart, Hope N. Stewart and Genevieve K. Mueller, all of Hillsboro, and Nathan A. Mueller of Greenville; two grandchildren, Uriel and Isabella Antemate; and siblings, Vester "Jack" (wife Amy) Stewart, Jr. of Texas; Richard L. (wife Margaret) Stewart of Hillsboro and Shelly (husband Mark) Woolard of Witt.
Mrs. Mueller was preceded in death by her parents.
