Marilyn M. Snoddy, 85, of Schram City, died on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at 2:40 p.m. at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 29, beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. James Hayes, pastor of St. James Baptist Church of Hillsboro, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Barbara's Cemetery in Witt.

Mrs. Snoddy was born Feb. 5, 1934, in Witt, to John and Fannie (Mindrup) Miller. She married Henry M. "Bud" Snoddy on Sept. 4, 1958, at St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Witt, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2018.

She attended a Catholic church when she was a child and graduated from Witt High School.

During her career, Mrs. Snoddy owned and operated a sanitation service and drove a school bus for the Hillsboro School District. Throughout her life, she lived in Witt and Schram City.

She loved being with her grandchildren and her dogs.

Mrs. Snoddy is survived by two children, John Snoddy and Ronald (wife Crystal) Snoddy, both of Hillsboro; ex-daughter-in-law, Terri Snoddy of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Ridge (fiancee Abby Paden) Snoddy and Kenna Snoddy; two stepgrandchildren, Jordyn and Dalton Finley; one stepgreat-grandchild, Braxton Finley; sister, Wilma Jean Pilgrim of Rosewood Heights; sister-in-law, Ruby Miller of Witt; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold Miller; and sister, Ruby Egelhoff.
