Marjorie Loraine Hough, 97, of Raymond, died on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, at Tremont Ridge Assisted Living in Hillsboro.

Visitation, Funeral Mass and Rosary for the family will be held on Friday, Nov. 20, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro with Father Dan Willenborg officiating. Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is assisting the family.

Mrs. Hough was born Sept. 3, 1923, in Harvel, to Ray and Vera (McConathy) Trinkle. She married Raymond Roscoe “Jiggs” Hough on Feb. 23, 1946, at St. Raymond Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 2004.

She graduated from Raymond High School with the class of 1941, and Business College in Chilicothe, MO.

Mrs. Hough’s family lived in Litchfield and Hillsboro before settling in Raymond, where her father bought the Chevrolet garage. Following her marriage, she and her husband made their home in Raymond.

She worked at First National Bank in Raymond for 26 years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a great cook. She was known for her cream puffs.

Mrs. Hough was a member of the St. Raymond Altar and Rosary. She was also a long time member of the Raymond Shoal Creek Golf Course and women’s golf league.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (husband Ken) Caraway of Atwood; ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Goby of Tuscola and Ruth (George) Baxter of Newman; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hough was preceded in death by her son, Maurice “Maury” Hough; and daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Matli.

Memorials may be directed to the Montgomery County Cancer Association or Tremont Ridge Assisted Living.
