Mark Daniel Buehrer, 56, died on Friday, Jan. 24, 2020.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 31, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lafayette Church of Christ, 115 New Ballwin Road, Ballwin, MO. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 1, beginning at 3 p.m. at the church. Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory in Ballwin, MO, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Buehrer was born to Ron and Lydia (Laufer) Buehrer. He married Sarah Sheffler on Oct. 17, 1987, and she survives.

He graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1982, and went on to graduate from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in 1985. While in school, he met and married his wife.

Mr. Buehrer and his family have called the St. Louis area home for over 25  years, where he had a long-term career as an actuary. He was a devout and faithful Christian, lover of music and a member of Lafayette Church of Christ, where he served on the praise team.

He had a strong affinity for sports, particularly golf, and shared a lifelong fandom for the Chicago Cubs and Kansas City Chiefs with his family. He remained generous throughout his life and in his passing, as he was able to donate his organs.

Mr. Buehrer is survived by his wife; children, Terrill Hall, Grant Buehrer, Peyton Buehrer and Blake (Shelby) Buehrer; his mother; siblings, Judy (Mark) Vasel and Tom (Janice) Buehrer; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his father.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Christian Family Services or Camp Neotez.
