Mark D. Hoehn, 57, of Witt, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at 5:53 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at a later date. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is assisting the family.
Mr. Hoehn was born July 28, 1962, in Hillsboro, the son of Clarence and Carolyn Darlene (Voils) Hoehn.
A 1976 graduate of St. Louis Catholic School, he was a 1980 graduate of Nokomis High School, and a 1983 graduate of SIU in Carbondale.
He was a retired jet fighter pilot from the Air National Guard and was a retired American Airlines pilot.
After retiring, he enjoyed restoring vintage vehicles and planes. He will be remembered as the guy with the F-4 fighter jet in his front yard on the curve in Witt.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his special loved one, Elizabeth Hugger of Columbia; sister, Karen (David) Melton of Fillmore; and brother, Dennis (Kelly) Hoehn of Irving.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Memorials may be made to St. Louis Catholic School in Nokomis.
