Martha Ann Fudoli, 93, of Marshall, MO, formerly of Hillsboro, died on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, MO.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 15, beginning at 1 p.m. at St. John’s Cemetery in Coffeen. Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall, MO, is assisting the family.
Mrs. Fudoli was born July 18, 1927, in Hillsboro, to Edward and Gladys (Edwards) Mizera. She married Mike Fudoli, and he preceded her in death.
She graduated from Hillsboro High School, attended William Woods College in Fulton, MO, and went to beauty school, earning her license in 1970.
Mrs. Fudoli and her husband owned and operated Fudoli’s Bargain Store and Fudoli’s Car Wash in Hillsboro, and she later retired from the state of Illinois, Graham Correctional Center
A lifelong member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, she was a devoted mother, working tirelessly to provide for her three girls’ college education and piano lessons.
Mrs. Fudoli enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, and after retirement, loved traveling, tending flowers in her yard and visiting with friends while walking every day at the gym. She moved to Marshall, MO, in 2014, and lived at Westport Assisted Living in order to be close to her daughter, Joy.
She is survived by her daughters, Cassie (Bruce) Gunn of Hillsboro, Becky (Richard) Bost of Fillmore and Joy (Bennett) Kirchhoff of Blackburn, MO; six grandchildren, Mindy Gunn, Michael (Crystal) Gunn, Joy (Ryan) Lewis, Tim (Kelsey) Bost, Anna (Matt) McFarland Schupp and Robert McFarland; two stepgranddaughters, Sidney (Greg) Leabo and Kara (Cory) Pennington; several great-grandchildren; sister, Connie Murphy of Hillsboro; as well as other extended family members.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Fudoli was preceded in death by her parents.
