Marvin L. Bilderback, 84

Marvin Lowell Bilderback, age 84, died on July 14, 2018, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. He had been a resident at the Quincy Veteran's Home for six and a half years.

An inurnment service will be conducted Saturday, July 21, at  10:30 a.m. at the Bowen Abbey Cemetery Mausoleum, with the Rev. Dave Hall, Protestant Chaplin at the Quincy Veteran's Home officiating. Friends and family are invited.

Mr. Bilderback was born in Chicago on March 24, 1934, to Sterling G. Bilderback and Margaret L. (Harrison) Bilderback Kilpatrick. He graduated from Bowen High School on May 22, 1953.

He married Bettye Sue (Dunn) Adams on July 5, 1958. They divorced Oct. 4, 1966. He later married Xochitl Sandoval on Nov. 27, 1972, and they divorced April 30, 1973.

Mr. Bilderback served in the U.S. Army from June 25,1954, to Feb. 24, 1956. He retired from his production career for Admiral/Maytag Corporation in Galesburg on May 27, 1992. He received a 25-year service award from the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.

Mr. Bilderback later moved to Fillmore, where he spent his retirement years. He was predeceased by his beloved canine, Buddy.

He is survived by his brothers, Roger (wife Joyce) Bilderback of  Ballwin, MO, and Dr. Robert Bilderback of Springfield; nieces, Teresa Bilderback of Harrisonville, MO, Sheri Bilderback of Brentwood, MO, and Lisa Bilderback of  El Paso, TX; great-niece, Lisa Nicole; nephews, Nicholas Bilderback of Los Angeles, CA,  and Robert Bilderback, Chandler, AZ.
