Mary Catherine "Cass" Bellaver, 77, of Kortkamp, died on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 10:15 a.m. at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, April 25, beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro with Father Daniel Willenborg, pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Mrs. Bellaver was born Feb. 27, 1942, in Chicago, to Creal V. "Mike" and Rosalind H. "Ro" (Kiefer) Heath. She married Marvin Bellaver on Jan. 23, 1965, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, and he survives.
She graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1960. During her career, she served as a teller and secretary for the president of Montgomery County National Bank in Hillsboro. She then worked as a traffic clerk for the Montgomery County Circuit Clerk's Office.
Mrs. Bellaver was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, where she was a member of C.C.W., and Stitchers Group. She loved cross stitching, arranging flowers, making stain glass and cake decorating. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events.
Before she moved to Kortkamp in 1952, she lived in Chicago.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bellaver is survived by a son, Greg Bellaver of Kortkamp; a daughter, Marcy (Denny) Jorn of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Makenzie and Brock Bellaver, Colton and Hayden Fuller and Spencer and Meagan Jorn; three brothers, Terrance (Linda) Heath of Edwardsville, Michael (Diane) Heath and John (Julie) Heath, both of Houston, TX; and a sister, Jane (Melvin "Mouse") Bellaver of Kortkamp.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
