Mary Louise (Agnew) Wells, 101, of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Farmersville, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.

A private burial was held at Rovey Cemetery in Farmersville, with a memorial service to be scheduled at a later date. Hough and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wells was born Feb. 5, 1918, to Elmer J. and Hazel (Lucas) Agnew. She married Cleo L. Wells on July 26, 1938, in Sycamore, and he preceded her in death in 1999.

A member of the Farmersville United Methodist Church, she was a former 4-H leader and a member of the Montgomery County Home Extension. She was an accomplished seamstress, crafter, gardener and avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah of St. Louis, MO; grandson, Matthew Whitener of St. Louis, MO; great-grandchildren, Isaac and Elise; sister, Betty Whitehead of Jacksonville; and nephew, Mike McGrath of Bradenton, FL.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, John; and sisters, Helen and Ruth.
