Mary Louise LaRosa, 85, of Benld, died at Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care in Gillespie on Friday, June 7, 2019, at 3 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, June 11, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Benld. Burial was held in Benld Cemetery. Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. LaRosa was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Breese, to Frank and Mary (Wehlage) Benhoff. She married Louis Carl LaRosa on April 27, 1953, in Carlinville, and he preceded her in death.
She worked for Webco and was a machine operator for Roller Derby, both in Litchfield. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Altar Society, and the Gillespie and Mt. Olive Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianne L. (Gary) Ronald of O'Fallon, MO; son, Kenneth L. LaRosa of Alton; two grandchildren, Jeffrey J. (Michelle) Ronald and Scott T. (Stefanie) Ronald, both of O'Fallon, MO, two great-grandchildren, Sienna Ronald and Chase Ronald; and sister, Helen Tebbe of Breese.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbert Benhoff, Leander Benhoff and Alfred Benhoff.
Memorials may be made to Benld Public Library or Partnership for Educational Excellence (Unit School District #7).
