Mary Lou Jones, 88, of Wilsonville, died on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care in Staunton.
A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, April 15, beginning at 3 p.m. at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Mrs. Jones was born June 26, 1934, in rural Litchfield, to Ray E. and Thelma (Painter) Hantla. She married James Jones on Feb. 9, 1957, at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in rural Raymond, and he survives.
She served as an election judge and precinct committee woman. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling and playing Bingo.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jones is survived by her daughter, Tena Cerentano of Wilsonville; grandchildren, Cari (Jeff) Fleming of Staunton, Andrew Edmonds Jr. of Florida and Larissa (Adam) Neighbors of Auburn; great-grandchildren, Emilie, Sean and Marley Fleming, Madison, Dolan and Delaney Neighbors and Mason, Reagan, Tyson and Cody Cerentano; and sister, Kathy Walden of Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tammy Edmonds; grandson, Cody Cerentano; brother, Kenneth Hantla; and sister, Jean Evans.
