Mary Louise (Osborn) Bland, 89, of Schram City, died on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at 1:40 p.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 26, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 26, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Irving Cemetery with Pastor Sue Bryce of United Methodist Church in Irving officiating.
Mrs. Bland was born July 16, 1932, in Irving, to Patrick and Stella (Durbin) Osborn. She married Jesse Earl Matthews, and they later divorced. She then married George Bland, and he preceded her in death.
She completed ten years of school and became a homemaker.
Mrs. Bland was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, and lived in Irving and Hillsboro during her lifetime.
She is survived by her children, Perry Matthews of Schram City, Marilyn (husband Wallace) Collins of Rochester and Martha Jane Kunze of Hillsboro; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Gladys Burval of Hillsboro.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bland was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and five sisters.
