Mary Orlena Price, 91, formerly of Litchfield, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in California.
Inurnment will be at the family plot at Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.
Mrs. Price was born March 18, 1927, in Litchfield, the daughter of H.E. and Eva Richards, and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1945 where she was a cheerleader and May Queen.
She attended Illinois College in Jacksonville where she was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon sorority and served as maid of honor during homecoming. After graduation, she worked for the Veterans Administration in Springfield.
She married William Price on Oct. 8, 1948, and they moved to Pomona, CA, in 1955. They later moved to Houston, TX, in 1977, and retired to Palm Desert, CA, in 1996. After her husband preceded her in death in 2008, she moved to Claremont, CA.
She is survived by a son, David (wife Renee) Price; daughters, Elizabeth (husband Jeff) Gaul and Jill (husband Neal) Cantone; and grandchildren, Jamie Gaul, Chelsea and Rachel Cantone, and William Price
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Red Cross.
