Matthew Paul Sheridan, 53,of St. Louis, died on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at his home due to complications from diabetes. 
Cremation rites were accorded.  Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro.  Memorial services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Mark Noyes officiating. Bass-Patton-Dean Funeral Home is helping with arrangements.
Mr. Sheridan was born May 12, 1970, in Redondo Beach, CA, and graduated from high school in Highland.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in finance and political science from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.  He lived his adulthood in St. Louis.
Mr. Sheridan’s favorite activity was being in nature.  He especially enjoyed the Missouri Botanical Gardens.  He was an avid reader and always loved learning new things. His special interests were spirituality, philosophy and politics.  He loved all sports and listening to music. He was a kind, loving person and was always willing to help someone in need.

Mr. Sheridan is survived by his parents, Janice (Bolton) Sheridan of Shiloh and Kelly Sheridan of Nashville;  stepfather, Danny White of Shiloh, who was a great friend to Mr. Sheridan; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Ethel Bolton, Otto and Pauline Sheridan, and his uncle Jimmy Bolton.
