Matthew Richard Polston, 57, of Litchfield, died on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020, at 1:48 a.m. at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Private Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Friday, Sept. 18, beginning at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Litchfield with Father Dan Willenborg officiating. There will be no visitation. Due to CDC guidelines, social distancing rules apply and masks will be required. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is assisting the family.
Mr. Polston was born Nov. 24, 1962, in Chula Vista, CA, to Richard Lee and Alice Cecelia Polston.
He graduated from Stuart High School in Louisville, KY. During his career, he served as an engineer technician and worked with Atmel Technologies, United Technologies and Honeywell Corp.
A member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Litchfield, Mr. Polston enjoyed reading and working on computers. He and his father loved to fly-fish for trout. He followed aviation trends and loved to go flying.
He is survived by his mother of Litchfield; and several cousins on both sides of the family.
Mr. Polston was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Paul and Cecelia Gurick and Woodrow and Neol Polston.
