Matthew Wayne Drummet, 47, of Edwards, CO, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, after a short and valiant battle with cancer.

A celebration of life will be held in early 2022.

Mr. Drummet was born February 2, 1974 in St. Louis,  the son of Kenneth and Carol Drummet. He married Amy Drummet.

He spent his childhood in Litchfield and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. After marriage, they moved to Eagle County, CO where he worked for Marriott, Vail Valley Tourism Bureau and the Mountain Haus.

Though he was born and raised in the midwest, his heart and soul always belonged in the mountains. He was private, introspective and loved deeply.  He loved music and was happiest with a guitar in his hands surrounded by the people he loved.

Mr. Drummet is survived by his wife Amy; sons Bergen and Ascher; father and stepmother Kenneth Earl Drummet and Trine Neilsen; mother and stepfather, Carol Ann (Drummet) and Dan Garner; sister Jennifer (husband Craig) Clark;  niece Chelsey Stokes; nephews Austin (wife Kelly) Clark and Dillon (wife Elizabeth) Clark; his inlaws; dear friends Scott and Rachel Simpson; the Montain Haus family and all the people who became their Colorado family over the last two decades. The family appreciates all the love and support shown during this time.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Rose Drummet and Guy and Virgina Cheatham; and nephew Cooper Meadows.
