Merva Jo Blazich, 82, of Nokomis, died on Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 8, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis. Mass of Christian Burial will follow, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be conducted at Calvary Cemetery in Nokomis.
Mrs. Blazich was born June 2, 1938, in Wichita, KS, to Merwyn and Josephine (Houlihan) Lewey. She married Elbin “Beanie” Blazich on June 24, 1967, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2011.
She was a homemaker who was active in church clubs, CCW, Foresters, the Womens Club and Sportsmans.
Mrs. Blazich is survived by her daughter, Diantha (Kelly) Hartson of Witt; four sons, Paul (Julia) Blazich, Phil Blazich and Daniel Blazich, all of Nokomis, and Pari (Michelle) Blazich of Mobile, AL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Tim Lewey of O’Fallon; and sister, Diantha Lewey of Springfield.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and infant brother, Tommy.
Memorials may be directed to St. Louis Catholic Church and School in Nokomis.
