Michael Allen Wasson, 58, of Taylorville, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, at 10:40 a.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.
His body will be cremated. A Celebration of Life and inurnment will be held at a later date. Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is assisting the family.
Mr. Wasson was born Dec. 11, 1961, in Taylorville, the son of Ivan L. Wasson and Virginia “Carol” (Coy) Boone.
A veteran, he served eight years in the United States Army. He also worked at Walmart in Taylorville.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Robert Wasson of Litchfield, and Ronald G. Beesley, Jr. and Kenneth Boone, both of Taylorville; sisters, Sue (Tracey) Hunt of Taylorville and Pamela Fanning of Edinburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Myrtle Coy.
