Michael Bruce White, 76, of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Hillsboro and Litchfield, died on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at his home.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Matt Ferguson, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro, officiating.

Mr. White was born Nov. 28, 1944, in Hillsboro, to Bruce Fisher and Martha Louise (Wilson) White. He married Margaret Meier, and they later divorced. He then married Kim Meicenheimer on Feb. 25, 1983, in Hillsboro, and she survives.

He graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1962. He went on to pursue a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Washington University and a juris doctorate from the University of Illinois. He passed the Illinois Bar Exam in 1973.

Mr. White served as an attorney with Bullington and White and Rosche and White in Hillsboro, and Bailey and Associates in Litchfield. He was also the former owner of Sears Hometown Dealer store in Litchfield.

A member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro, he was an avid golfer who loved musicals and spending time at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic. He was a season ticket holder at the Muny Theatre in Forest Park for 27 years.

Mr. White was instrumental in and lobbied for getting Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro and the Continuing Recovery Center in Irving.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, James Michael (Lisa) White of Hillsboro; daughter-in-law, Diana White of Elmhurst; brother, Richard Wilson (Glenda) White of Rocky Mount, MO; four sisters, Kathleen (Michael) Wynn of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Cynthia (Harvey) Pettry of Olney, Nancy (Tom Sagartz) Lane of Osage Beach, MO, and Patricia (Steve) White-Fuller of Kirkwood, MO; and seven grandchildren, Dylan White, Darby White, Koby White, Isabella White, Anthony White, Jordan White and Lukas White.

Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Timothy Richard White.
