Michael “Mikey” Gorman, 55, of Hillsboro, died on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at Hillsboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A memorial service was held at a later date. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Mr. Gorman was born June 21, 1965, in Springfield, to Michael Gorman and Dianna (Riley) Hamby.
A huge St. Louis Cardinals fan, he loved spending time with his family, painting birdhouses, going fishing and to the drive-in. He especially loved to go on vacations to the ocean with his family, and had a smile that would light up a room.
Mr. Gorman is survived by his siblings, Lisa Barry, Robert (Heather) Gorman, both of Farmersville, Todd Gorman of Litchfield, Kelly Gorman of Mattoon, John (Selena) Gorman of Waggoner and Ryan (Karen) Gorman of Girard; stepbrothers, Matt (Lisa) Everett of Loxahatchee, FL, Marty (companion Krista) Everett of Butler and Mike (Laura) Everett of Litchfield; stepmother, Linda (Small) Gorman of Litchfield; three aunts; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Erin; niece, Brenna; grandparents; uncles, Paul, Marty and Robert Gorman; and aunt, Mary Alice Gorman.
Memorials may be directed to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
