A walk-through visitation will be held Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Those attending the visitation are asked to adhere to CDC guidelines by wearing masks and social distancing. Private family memorial services will follow. Illiana Cremation Society in Danville is assisting the family.

Mr. Fogle was born April 5, 1964, in Hillsboro, to Michael Wayne Fogle, Sr. and Lucille (Huber) Caulk. He married Rhonda and she survives.

He attended Gateway College of Evangelism in Florissant, MO, for a year-and-a-half. He later graduated from Danville Area Community College (DACC) in Danville  in 2018 with an associate’s degree in applied science computer and network administration.

Mr. Fogle was a devoted father, passionate about teaching his children to be critical thinkers in every area of life and to be lovers of God and the church. He enjoyed spending quality time with his wife and five children, taking them on many family vacations to many new places and having many fun adventures. One of his favorites places he would take his family was the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY, from the time they were building the museum through opening day and many more times after.

As he grew in his relationship with the Lord, he became very passionate about creation and taught many seminars on Biblical world view and the importance of knowing why you believe what you believe. He attended Sidell Assembly UPC, where he was a minister for several years. He had served in the Sidell Lion’s Club since 2004.

Mr. Fogle believed that it was his responsibility to teach his children and with that, he and his wife homeschooled all five children. They were directors of the Homefires Homeschool Association in East Central Illinois and West Central Indiana. Since its inception in 2006, he consistently attended the Creation Evidence Expo held in Indianapolis, IN.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Amber (Sam) Marlow, Stephen, Abigail, Michael Joshua and Jonathan, all of Danville; step-grandson, Sammy Marlow of Champaign; mother; brother, William “Bill” (wife Camille) Fogle; nieces and nephews, Kimberly (Mitchell) Arellano of Justice, Brenda (Jesse) Woolard and James and Chandler Fogle, all of Hillsboro; mother-in-law, Rheta Johnson; several brothers and sisters-in-law; as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mr. Fogle was preceded in death by his father.
