Mildred L. (Hubert) Henderson, 101, of Greenville, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at Cedarhurst of Greenville.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Greenville.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m. at the church. Young Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Henderson was born Jan. 25, 1919, in Beckemeyer, to Tony and Catherine “Dene” (Oechsner) Hubert. She married Maurice F. Henderson on Nov. 22, 1941, in Troy, MO, and he preceded her in death.

Early in life, she moved with her family to the farm near Hookdale. She later moved to the Oechsner farm in Fayette County. She attended schools in Keyesport and Mulberry Grove, graduating from Mulberry Grove High School in 1937.

A checker for the Kroger and IGA stores, she worked for Bass Funeral Home in Greenville and Hillsboro. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greenville, where she taught nursery Sunday school for many years.

She is survived by her daughter Marlyce Henderson of Greenville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Florendena Elam.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist  Church, Bond County Hospice and/or Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
