Local 4-H members are hard at work preparing for Montgomery County’s 4-H Shows, Friday, June 18 through Friday, June 25.
Local 4-H members will be showing off their hard work during the General Show on Friday, June 18, at the Montgomery County Extension office in Hillsboro. Judging starts at 9:30 a.m. and the show opens for public viewing at noon.
The Visual Arts Show will be held on Saturday, June 19, at the Montgomery County Extension office in Hillsboro. Judging starts at 9:30 a.m. and the public viewing portion begins at noon.
The county’s top felines and canines will be judged on Monday, June 21. The Cat Show begins at 3:30 p.m. at the Extension office in Hillsboro, while the Dog Show will take place at 6 p.m. at the 4-H Park in Butler.
The Poultry Show is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, at the 4-H Park in Butler, followed by the Rabbit Show at 10:30 a.m. and the Dairy and Beef Shows at 12:15 p.m.
The Sheep and Goat shows will take place on Wednesday, June 23, at the 4-H Park in Butler. Sheep will take the arena at 9 a.m., followed by goats at noon.
The Food and Clothing shows will be held on Thursday, June 24, at the Extension office in Hillsboro. The time will be determined at a later date. Wrapping up the week-long program is the Swine Show, which will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 25, at the 4-H Park in Butler.
