Beginning Nov. 1, the Litchfield Museum and Route 66 Welcome Center will be operating under winter hours.
We will be welcoming visitors from 10 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday, and will be closed on Sunday and Monday.
If you haven't stopped by the museum lately, we encourage you to do so. Litchfield area residents have been most generous in sharing the treasures they have collected and we have many new items on display.
We are staffed by a friendly and knowledgeable group of volunteers who are available to answer questions and give directions to and about businesses and services in Litchfield. If you might be interested in volunteering, I invite you to give me a call at 248-5416, or stop by the museum and talk with the volunteer to learn about how you can get involved. Shifts are short (three hours) and volunteers can sign up for as many or as few as they wish. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet people from all over the world. And it's fun!
Come visit us and learn about the rich history of Litchfield and the people who have lived here. You'll be impressed with the items that have been loaned or donated by your friends and neighbors.
You will find unique gifts, new facts about the area, and a good time. We hope to see you soon!
