Nancy J. Kessinger, 91, of Springfield, MO, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019.
A Funeral Mass was held Thursday, Aug. 8, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Hermitage, MO.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m. in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Girard with Deacon Denny Baker officiating.
Mrs. Kessinger was born June 19, 1928, in St. Louis, MO, to Clyde and Bea Leach. She married Raymond E. Kessinger on Dec. 27, 1947, and he preceded her in death.
She and her husband farmed in the Waggoner community for many years before moving to Lake Pomme de Terre, MO, in 1971, to own and operate Goody's Resort.
Mrs. Kessinger is survived by daughters, Kathi Kessinger of Springfield, MO, and Jenny (David) Shelton of Bolivar, MO; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia White of Peoria and Jane (Oliver) Wenneborg of Scottsdale, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Sue Ann; and brother, Richard W. Leach.
