Nancy Ruth Jay, 68, of Vandalia died on Friday, April 19, 2019, at 10:05 p.m. at her home in Vandalia.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 25, at noon at Shiloh Cemetery in Coffeen. There will be no visitation. Allen and Sutton Funeral Home in Fillmore is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Jay was born on Jan. 30, 1951, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Clifford C. and Doris (Porter) Snider. She married Floyd E. Jay, Sr. in 1985, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2017.
During her lifetime, Mrs. Jay worked at Fedders and was a social member of the American Legion Post #1021 in Keyesport and Teamsters.
She is survived by her granddaughters, Brianna Maness and Brittney Frailey, both of Vandalia; great-grandchildren, Harmony Grace Carroll, Charlie Frailey and Rhyann Frailey; a sister, Hope Schulte and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammie Kay Guyot; brothers, Donald Snider and Philip Snider and sisters, Jane Lynch and Ada Snider.
