Nathan D. Davis, 40, of New Douglas, died on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 10:58 a.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 27, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Sorento Fire Hall, 101 North Main Street. Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home in Sorento is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Davis was born June 8, 1979, in Hillsboro, to Charles W. "Charlie" and Phyllis L. (Daniel) Davis.

He attended Sorento elementary and middle schools, and graduated from Greenville High School.

During his career, Mr. Davis worked for Nelson's Tree Service for many years, before taking a job with Asplundh Tree Expert Co., where he was currently employed.

A member of the Local 309, he was loved by many, especially his family and friends. He was a loyal friend, loving brother and a good daddy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, riding his Harley and playing his scratch-off tickets and slots.

Mr. Davis' loving, sometimes hard-headed, outgoing personality will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his daughter, Savannah Davis of Greenville; companion, Susie Dale of New Douglas; daughters, Jaden and Caylee Dale of New Douglas; siblings, Kristin Davis and Justin Davis, both of Granite City, and Dillon (wife Tracy) Davis of Highland; three nieces; and several cousins.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents.
