Nicholas Ryan Gipson, 33, of Springfield, formerly of Litchfield, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, in Springfield.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Cremation will follow the services. Private family interment will be held at a later date.
Mr. Gipson was born March 25, 1986, in Hillsboro, a son of Darold G. and Susan D. (Weller) Gipson.
A general laborer and clerk, he helped others suffering with drug addiction.
Mr. Gipson is survived by father Darold Gipson of Cleveland, TN; mother, Susan Cisco of Carlinville; paternal grandmother, Diana Schwab of Litchfield; maternal grandmother, Marilyn Weller of Taylor Springs; two sisters, Mallory Kitchens of Cleveland, TN, and Alison Cisco of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Gipson; stepfather, Louis Schwab; and maternal grandfather, Richard Weller.
