Normaline Brewer, 86, of Mount Olive, died at her residence on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 3:27 am. A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 7, at Life Harvest Church in Wilsonville. Kravanya Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
Mrs. Brewer was born Feb. 12, 1938, in Marston, MO, to the late James Paul Morris and Tennie Lovins Morris. She married Abraham Lincoln Brewer on Sept. 24, 1955, in Portageville, MO.
Mrs. Brewer worked at St. Louis Shammy Shop at the age of 17. She became a laborer at the Dress Factory in St. Louis, MO. She later became a beautician.
Mrs. Brewer and her husband then moved to Mt Olive in 1973. She worked at Echlin in Litchfield, as well as at the Roller Derby until the factory closed. She worked at Allison ManorNursing Home for 40 years. She loved working at the nursing home and visiting with residents.
Mrs. Brewer enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, traveling, going to church and being with her family.
Mrs. Brewer is survived by her son, Steven D. Brewer of Mt. Olive; daughter, Michelle K. (Brewer) Grove (Dean Meyer) of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Melissa (Brewer) Loftis (Chris Loftis) of Gillespie and Jordan Grove of Litchfield; great-grandchild, Austin Loftis of Gillespie; great- great-granddaughter, Armella Diane Rose Loftis of Gillespie; sisters, Hazel Frazier of Sikeston, MO and Loretta Leeker of Festus, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, great granddaughter, Madyson Diane Loftis; daughter in law, Diane Brewer; son in law, Matthew Grove; brothers, Paul Morris, Jr and Henry Wayne Morris; and sisters, Pauline Adams and Peggy Hardesty.
