Otto Thomas Borgic, 64, of Taylorville, formerly of Morrisonville, died on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, at 2:15 a.m. at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
There are no public services planned at this time. Shafer-Perfetti and Assalley Funeral Home in Taylorville is assisting the family.
Mr. Borgic was born March 7, 1956, in Taylorville, to Darrell and Martha (Kessler) Borgic. He married Brenda Stewart in May 1979, in Taylorville, and they later divorced.
He graduated from Morrisonville High School with the class of 1975 and earned a certificate from Bailey Technical School in St. Louis, MO.
Mr. Borgic was engaged in farming most of his life and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his mother of Taylorville; children, Tracie (husband Robbie) Wise of Greenville, Brian Borgic of Taylorville and Aaron (fiancee Dana) Borgic of Troy, MO; siblings, Raymond (wife Diane) Borgic of Chicago, Barb (husband John) Rankin of Colorado, John (wife Bonnie) Borgic of California, Vince Borgic of Joliet, Dale (Linda Getz) Borgic and Mark (wife Violet) Borgic, both of Taylorville; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Borgic was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, George and Jessie Kessler; and paternal grandparents, John and Evelyn Borgic.
