Pamela K. (Funderburk) Clanton, 60, of Pocahontas, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the main pavilion at Gretchen Wilson Park in Pocahontas.

Mrs. Clanton was born Oct. 24, 1960, to William T. “Tom” and Donna (Mosier) Funderburk. She married David Clanton on Oct. 24, 2008, in Pocahontas, and he survives.

In her younger years, she loved to twirl a baton and was a member of her school color guard. She liked to socialize with everyone, meeting many wonderful people throughout the years, tending bar and and working as a cook, which was her passion. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by stepfather, Ted Stanton of Elkridge, MD; sons, Theodore “Ted” Webster and Aaron Hulvey, both of Granite City; siblings, Jim (Brenda) Snow of Greenville; Debbie McCormick of Coffeen, Carol (Randall) Weiss of Highland, Thomas (Dana) Funderburk of Kirksville, MO, and W. Troy (Tracy) Funderburk of Pocahontas; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Tom Funderburk and Donna Stanton, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dee Dee Sidwell, and stepmother, Nellie Jean Funderburk.
