Patricia June Johnson, 94, of Raymond, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Afamily-only graveside service was held on Monday, Oct. 12, in Asbury Cemetery in Raymond. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mrs. Johnson was born June 22, 1926, in Irving, the daughter of Emet E. and Nellie Marine “Johnson” Graden. She married Harold H. Johnson on Nov. 23, 1944, in Raymond, and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2011.

She grew up in the Irving area, and lived in  Raymond most of her adult life. She was a 1944 graduate of Raymond High School, graduating as salutatorian. She raised her family on the farm and was a devoted farmwife and mother. She attended the First United Presbyterian Church in Raymond, which was recently combined and called A Community of Faith Church. She enjoyed serving in the church, as well as sewing, quilting and crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Paula Johnson (Rick) Purdue of Chicago, Gerald (Susan) Johnson of Springfield, Beverly (Leonard) Massa of Litchfield and Floyd (Donna Pease) Johnson of Raymond; grandchildren, Jenni Purdue of Chicago, Patricia Purdue of Colorado Springs, CO, Todd (Trista) Johnson of Springfield, Marcy (Josh) Welsh of Carlinville, Kelly (Jared) Nuckolls of Middleton, WI, Dakota (John) Kirby of Charlotte, NC, Gabby Johnson (fiance Darrin Wax) of Sidney, Christina (Steven) Sweeney of Chatham, Michael (Heidi) Compton of South Mills, NC and Laura (Chris) White of Wentzville, MO; great-grandchildren, Delanie and Vivian Johnson, Blaize and Pierce Rovey, Shawna, Josh and Elizabeth Welsh, Evelyn and Rosalee Kirby, Connor and Christian Gasparich, Alana Compton, Kayla (Scott) James, Michael (Jessica) Compton II, Ethan, Emily and Kaitlyn White and Kaleb (Caty) White; and great-great-grandchildren, Landon and Parker James and Mila White.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Roberta Johnson and Mary Frances Benning; brother, Richard Graden; and nephew, James Graden.
