Patricia L. Curry, 74, of Nokomis, died at 7:11 a.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Hillsboro Health in Hillsboro.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to the time of service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis with Pastor Ryan Follis officiating. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ms. Curry was born on Sept. 23, 1951, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Alfred Pearse and Loretta Pearse. She married David Wayne Brown on Jan. 21, 1973, and they later divorced. She then married James Curry and they later divorced.
She was employed as a bank receptionist and later worked in the laundry department at Mallory’s Pana Community Hospital. She also spent time working for Casey’s. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nokomis and attended North Woods Community Church in Peoria.
Ms. Curry is survived by her daughter, Trisha (Josh) Sturgeon of Galesburg; grandsons, Kolton Sturgeon of Pekin and Logan Sturgeon of Galesburg; brothers, Larry Pearse and Gary Pearse; sisters, Sandy Grigg and Marilyn Carver; along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Kathy Settle, Sharon Lindstrom and Nancy Huddleston; and brother, Dennis Pearse.
Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Nokomis or the American Diabetes Association.
