Patricia Louise Niehaus, 68, of Hillsboro, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at 12:40 p.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro. A meal will be served immediately after the service in the church basement. Father Daniel Willenborg, pastor at St. Agnes, will officiate. Burial will be at Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Litchfield. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Niehaus was born on March 6, 1953 in Litchfield, the daughter of Harold Wayne and Mable Louise (Jones) Rottinghaus. She married Mike Niehaus; they later divorced.

Mrs. Niehaus was a graduate of Litchfield High School and went on to earn her CNA license. She had lived in Raymond, San Francisco, CA, and Hillsboro. She was a teacher’s aide at Beckemeyer Elementary School in Hillsboro, was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Niehaus is survived by her children, Matthew (wife Adriane) Niehaus of Wilton, NH, and Kendra (husband John) Wright of Hillsboro; grandchildren Oliver, Griffin, and Annabelle Wright, and Astrid and Cian Niehaus; sister Kathy Robinson; and brother Michael Rottinghaus.
