Patricia "Pat" McAfee, 85, of Chesterfield, died on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at 5:05 a.m. at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Targhetta Funeral Home in Brighton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. David Baker officiating. Burial will take place at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. McAfee was born March 30, 1933, in Elsberry, MO, to Forrest Leon Suddarth and Virginia (Lilley) Ralston. Her stepfather was Walter J. Williams. She married Kenneth "Pete" McAfee on Feb. 15, 1950, in Chesterfield, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 2017.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. McAfee is survived by her daughters, Marjorie (husband James) Thompson of Sawyerville, Jannella (Gary) Vega of Litchfield, Joyce (Kenneth) Koski of Litchfield and Donna Montgomery of Brighton; sons, Wayne (wife Debra) McAfee of Tuscola, Clifford (wife Thelma) McAfee, Sr. of Hayesville, KS, and Randy McAfee and Kevin McAfee, both of Chesterfield; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Marie (husband Charles) Moore of Louisiana, MO; a brother, George (wife Shirley) Suddarth of Louisiana, MO; and a sister-in-law, Wilma Trill of Raleigh, NC.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Lou McAfee; a son, Donald McAfee; a grandson, Clifford McAfee, Jr.; son-in-law, Robert Montgomery, Jr.; and a brother, Buddy Suddarth.
