Patsy Ann Hansel, 82, of Hillsboro, formerly of Springfield, died on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at the Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Hansel was born on July 25, 1938, in Bloomington, to Nellie Birch. She married Kenneth Hansel, and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Hansel worked as a floor receptionist at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield for over 17 years and Vine Street Clinic in Springfield for over ten years.
Mrs. Hansel is survived by one daughter, Debbie (Alan) Kern of Arizona; two sons, Kenneth D. (Carolyn) Hansel of Missouri and Norman Hansel of Virden; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Roy Bell.
