Paul W. (P.W.) Schwarm, 93, of Ohlman, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Graveside services will be held in Ohlman Cemetery with military honors by the Nokomis American Legion. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Schwarm was born, Aug. 12, 1927, in Pana, the son of Floyd and Elsie (Forbis) Schwarm. He married Florence Huttes in 1964, in Ohlman, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 30, 2010.
A member of the United Church of Christ in Ohlman, he was a trucker and WWII veteran in the Army. He was a member of the Waples-Bauer Post 94 Nokomis American Legion, and Nokomis Lions Club. He and his wife took great pride in taking many trips for over 20 years, delivering truck loads of clothing and supplies to Appalachia, Kentucky, and Indian reservations in Arizona and Arkansas.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Benjamin Schwarm, Floyd Schwarm Jr., Mildred Pieper and Gerald Schwarm.
