Pauline Adele Caudle, 88, of Carlinville, died on Monday, March 30, 2020, at a Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care facility.

Private graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 1, at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville with Pastor Justin Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow. Heinz Funeral Home in Carlinville is assisting the family.

Mrs. Caudle was born Oct. 17, 1931, in Carlinville, to Jasper Loren and Anita Marie (Stewart) Seaton. She married Theodore Caudle on Jan. 16, 1948, in Carlinville, and he preceded her in death.

She grew up in the country near Atwater, and helped raise her siblings following the death of her father at a young age.

Mrs. Caudle enjoyed being a homemaker and cleaned houses, painted and wall papered. She and her husband also enjoyed their family-owned business, Caudle Custom Hay Baling. In her later years, she served as a caregiver for senior citizens.

She loved dancing and spent many nights at the Moose Lodge as part of the Women of the Moose organization. Her hobbies included crocheting blankets, collecting earrings and salt and pepper shakers, and reading books. She was a member of the Rural United Methodist Church. 

Mrs. Caudle is survived by Danny (Sue) Caudle, Chris Caudle, Kendra (Bob) Lane, Kami Caudle, Jack and Andon Stayton, Henry Eaton, Karen Caudle, Miranda (Jesse) White, Andy Caudle and Trevor (Brittany) Caudle; and her pride and joy, her great-grandchildren, Nelson and Kadence White and Wyatt Caudle.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dennis; infant son, Darrell; and siblings,Virginia Wallace, Pearl Huston, Bob Seaton, Bill Seaton, Wayne Seaton and Herb Seaton.
