Pelma H. Ferjancic, 98, of Walshville, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 6:20 p.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private services will be held with the Rev. Ben Fiore, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive, officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ferjancic was born Jan. 19, 1922, in Hillsboro, to Welby and Leeta (Bost) Hicks. She married Edward Joseph Ferjancic on June 7, 1942, in St. Charles, MO, and he preceded her in death on March 18, 1996.

She graduated from high school and went on to work in the farming industry. 

Mrs. Ferjancic was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive, Eastern Star and ATA Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed square dancing, sewing and traveling.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Welby Edward Ferjancic on March 31, 2013.

Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive or Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro.
