Porter Gets Nine Years On Predatory Sex Crime

A Litchfield man got nine years in prison on Thursday, Oct. 22, for felony predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.

Carlos M. Porter, 50, of Litchfield, pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Circuit Court in Hillsboro in a plea agreement presented by State’s Attorney Bryant Hitchings and Public Defender Erin Mattson.  Porter must serve 85 percent of his sentence, and upon release, serve at least three years of mandatory supervised release and comply with mandated sex offender registration requirements.

The crime occurred in April 2018 in Litchfield, and an investigation by the Litchfield Police Department, Porter was arrested in December 2018.
