Queen Brielle Will Compete For State Title


The 61st annual Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant will be held Thursday, Jan. 16 through Sunday, Jan. 19 at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield.

The pageant will be held in conjunction with the Illinois Association of Agriculture Fairs annual convention.

Brielle Marten of Litchfield, the 2019 Miss Montgomery County Fair Queen, will be a contestant to compete for the title of 2020 Miss Illinois County Fair Queen among 72 other county fair queens.

Marten will be on stage for preliminary competition on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. The preliminary competition on Saturday is open to the public with a $20 admission.  She will compete in four categories, including interview, stage presence (evening gown), beauty and physique (swimsuit), and speech and communication.

The finals will be on Sunday, Jan. 19, when the top 15 are announced to finish the competition.

Marten is the 20-year-old daughter of Jeff and Brandi Marten of Litchfield. She is currently a junior at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Nursing located on the Springfield campus. She will graduate with her RN-BSN in May 2021. 

Marten works as a patient care tech at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield and as a sales consultant at MyFormals in Litchfield. She also spends her time as a stage coach and choreographer for the local Miss Litchfield and Miss Black Diamond Days pageants.
