Ray Frederick Oltmann, 84, of Nokomis, died on Thursday, April 9, 2020, at his home.

Private graveside services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Nokomis, Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Oltmann was born Aug. 21, 1935, in Hillsboro, to Lester and Elinor (Miller) Oltmann. He married Barbara J. Lowe on Nov. 25, 1956 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Nokomis, and she survives.

He graduated Nokomis High School with the class of 1953, and went on to become a grain and swine farmer.

Mr. Oltmann enjoyed square dancing, traveling and was an IH collector.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Larry (Ramona) Oltmann of Clarksville, TN, and Michael (Gabrielle) Oltmann of Nokomis; daughter, Debra (Mitchell) Lefler of Stronghurst; grandchildren, Marci Oltmann of Clarksville, TN, Erica (Kyle) Fortner, Brad (Kathleen) Oltmann, both of Nokomis, Heather (Kyle) Brozka of Spanaway, WA, Garret Lefler of Davenport, IA, and Rachel Lefler of Ames, IA; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Brooklyn Fortner, Teagan Oltmann, all of Nokomis, and Aria Brozka of Spanaway, WA.

Mr. Oltmann was preceded in death by his parents; and grandchildren, Kurt Oltmann and Heidi Oltmann.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Nokomis.
