Raymond Committee Cancels Annual Festival

Posted

Organizers of this year’s Raymond Independence Day celebration have announced they will cancel this year’s June festivities due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and shelter-in guidelines.

The committee is looking into the possibility of a small street fair sometime in the fall, provided the state restrictions are lifted and they are able to do so in a safe manner.

In addition, the Queen’s Committee will continue to work with the young ladies and youth in this year’s contest to host the pageants in a safe manner. Organizers look forward to the 2021 Raymond Independence Day celebration, which will be extra special as the village will celebrate its 150th birthday.
