Raymond G. Ridens, 55, died on Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, at 12:44 p.m. at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 14, at the Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Burial was at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Ridens was born on Oct. 9, 1964, to Ronald Ridens and Joyce (Hopper) McCracken. He married Sherry Stice on Oct. 12, 1996, in Worden. Mr. Ridens was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Worden and of the Painter’s Union Local #351. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Ridens is survived by his wife; children, Heather (Isaiah) Whorl of Rosewood Heights, Christopher Huggins of Bethalto and Tiffany Jarman of Litchfield; a granddaughter, Braelyn Whorl; his mother, Joyce McCracken; two sisters, Kristina (Michael) Kampmann of Williamson and Rhonda (Rollie) Lorenz of Worden; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
